Harold T. "Puff" Koser, 78, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2004 at Holy Spirit Hospital. He was the widower of Betty Jane (Hilgenkamp) Koser.
Mr. Koser was born in Mechanicsburg on December 6, 1925, son of the late Alfred E. "Hap" and Mabel May (Vogelsong) Koser.
He was a graduate of the Air Force Institute of Technology Management School. Harold retired from the former Mechanicsburg Ships Parts Control Center, Mechanicsburg; member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Mechanicsburg, and assorted clubs and organizations. He also served in the 4th Division U.S. Marines in the battles of Saipan, Tinian and Iwo Jima.
Harold is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey E. and Cindy L. Koser of Harrisburg; his daughter and son-in-law, Kathy E. and John Getty of Dillsburg; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Melanie and a grandson, John.
Funeral services will be held at Calvary Lutheran Church, Mechanicsburg at 11 a.m. on Friday, april 23rd with the Reverend Robert J. Nemoyer and Reverend Dr. Thomas Kraus officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Mechanicsburg Cemetery, Arrangements by Myers Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg.
