Jeffrey Eugene Koser

He Was a Friend of Mine -

Jeffrey Eugene Koser, age 71, of Harrisburg, and formerly of Mechanicsburg, entered into eternal life surrounded by the love of his family on Sunday, February 21, 2016. Jeff was born on Friday, October 27, 1944 in Fremont, NE to the late Harold Thomas Koser and Betty Jean (Hilgenkamp) Koser. Jeff was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 35 years, Cindy Lee (Fahnestock) Koser, whom he married on September 8, 1979, and who died on January 8, 2014. In addition to his parents and wife, Jeff is preceded in death by his infant sister, Melanie Koser, and his sister, Kathy Getty.

Jeff’s survivors include two sons: Michael D. Wevodau of Yelm, WA, Alan E. Wevodau of Copperas Cove, TX; and two daughters: Melanie S. Koser and Corinne E. Koser, both of Harrisburg, PA. He was “Pap” to four grandchildren: Colter, Graycen, Anzley and Marlee.

Jeff graduated from Mechanicsburg High School as part of the class of 1962 and attended Gettysburg College. He retired from United CoolAir in York, after 52 years of service working as a production manager. Jeff was a life-long member of the Mechanicsburg Club. He enjoyed the Dodgers, Penn State Football, car shows, performance cars, and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Jeff was a man of scarce words, but many faithful emotions, like loyalty and kindness. He loved his family unconditionally and was always caring and supportive. His family remembers Jeff’s strong work ethic and self-sacrificing, generous, and easy-going nature. Most of all, his witty, sarcastic remarks will be missed by all who knew Jeff.

All are welcome to join Jeff’s family at his viewing on Thursday, February 25, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday, February 26, 2016, from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Celebrant George A. Spangler officiating. Interment will follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery in Mechanicsburg.
