Lawrence Nay Stahl was the youngest son of Jacob and Mary Jane (Michaels) Stahl and was born on a farm near Sidney, Indiana. He married Minnie Alice Bareham on May 2, 1908 in Kosciusko Co., Indiana. They had five children, Mildred May, Bunola Idalee, Grace Pearl, Fairy Bell, and Claud Lawrence. Lawrence passed away at the age of 52 years, 6 months and 5 days. He was a wonderful husband and father. He loved and was loved by his family and all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Grace Pearl at the age of 10 in 1918. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife and four children; Mrs. Noah Pearl Pritchard of near South Whitley; Mrs. Ralph Hathaway of near Piercton; Fairy of Chicago; and Claud at home; one brother, Elmer of Sidney, five grandchildren; and also a host of relatives, neighbors and friends. Oe brother and one sister preceded him in death.
