Lewis Burton Adams, 74, Brewster, died Thursday in the Okanogan-Douglas County Hospital in Brewster.
He was born September 16, 1907, in Knox City, Texas. He married Mae M Lawrence, October 5, 1980, at Bridgeport Bar.
Mr. Adams was a carpenter for Morrison-Knudsen Co. He farmed in New Mexico and moved to Wyoming where he lived for a short time before moving to Bridgeport Bar in 1952 and to Brewster in 1976.
He was a member of the Church of the Brethren, Carpenters Union Local No. 1332, Brewster Grange and Brewster Senior Citizens.
Survivors include his wife, at the home; two sons, Barney, Anchorage, Alaska, and Art, Bridgeport; one daughter, Sybol Dial, Brewster; two brothers, Blackie and Dale, both of Brewster; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 9 at 11:00 am from the Calvary Baptist Church, Brewster with Reverend Luther Allen officiating. Burial in the Bridgeport Cemetery. Arrangements by Barnes Chapel, Brewster.
