When Kate was about 5 years old, the family moved to Nashville where he father continued to work in the hotel business. Kate married William Boone Sharp there on July 10, 1882. He was born in 1855 in Huron Co., Ohio. They had 2 children: Walter Eddings Sharp, born 1885; and Mignon, born 1888. The couple had divorced by 1894.
Kate then married Professor Milton B. Elliott, also from Ohio. Milton was a teacher. By 1910, the family had moved to Sandusky Co., Ohio, where they lived and raised Kate's son and daughter. Daughter Mignon married Roy W. Wright in 1914, and both died of Typhoid Fever 2 years later. Kate's son Walter Eddings Sharp married Myrtle Mae Bredehoft, who died in 1926. Walter had 3 daughters: Myrtle, Marion, and Kathryn.
Kate and her cousin, Dave Eddins, purchased this Eddins Family Plot after the death of Kate's daughter Mignon and Mignon's husband Roy Wright in 1916
Kate's sister, Ella J. Baird, 1860-1941, married Hotel Manager William O. Malone May 26, 1885 in Nashville. They had one daughter Ruth. Kate and Ella were always close and in her final illness Kate came back to Nashville to stay with her sister until her death. Ella Baird Malone is also buried at Mt. Olivet.
After Kate's death, her husband Milton Elliott, continued to live with her widowed son Walter and her 3 granddaughters in Cleveland, Ohio.
