CHESAPEAKE, VA Hattie Virginia Spence Bowers, 94, of the 1100 block of Decatur Street, passed away Friday at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. She was born in old Norfolk County and was the daughter of the late Mortier Lafayette & Hattie May Boykin Spence. She was the widow of Warren B. Bowers & was a retired teacher at Rena B. Wright Elementary School. Survivors include her daughter Betty Abey of Chesapeake & her grandson, Matthew Sagaser.
