Mrs. Elizabeth Schehrer Passed Away Wednesday Morning at 3 o'clock
Mrs. Elizabeth Schehrer, aged 86 years last June, and the widow of the late Stephen Schehrer, Sr., died Wednesday morning at 3 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs.
Carrie Eder. Death was due to pneumonia....
Interment will be made in the Catholic cemetery by the side of her husband.

Mrs. Elizabeth Schehrer, who was past eighty-six years of age, died Wednesday, January 4, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carrie Eder. She died of pneumonia, after an illness of several days. Elizabeth Speidel was born June 26, 1841, in Alsace-Lorraine, France.

In the year 1860 she was married to Stephen Schehrer, who preceeded her in death ten years ago. They came to Kansas in 1865 and moved to a farm south of Eudora. She continued to live in that vicinity until the fall of 1901, when she moved to Eudora and lived there until the death of her husband, after which she made her home with her daughter.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning from the Holy Family Catholic church, with Father G. Hart officiating. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery beside her husband.

She leaves to mourn her death two sons, Wendelin and Joseph, and two daughters, Mrs. Carrie Eder and Mrs. Lorenz Speicker. One son, Stephen Jr., predeede her in death about three years ago. She also leaves thirty-one grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Those from out of town who were here to attend the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Shea, of Bucyrus, Kansas; Mrs. Emma Schehrer of Kansas City, Missouri; Mr. and Mrs. William Speiker of Topeka; Henry Schehrer, Miss Minnie Schehrer, Mr. and Mrs. Osgood Armstrong, James Norris and Charles Daugherty, all of Lawrence.
