Walter Strother Burnett was born July 27, 1886, in Groesbeck, Limestone Co., Texas, to Walter William and Ida C. Foust Burnett. Walter married Moselle Harding in Anderson County Texas. They had two children, Lionel and Lorraine. Walter was a WW I Veteran and a painting contractor by trade. He died Jan. 24, 1970 in Palestine, Texas where he had made his home for 51 years.
