Zada U. Nestle, age 94, of Shepherd MI, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 4. 2003 at Tendercare Nursing Home in Mt. Pleasant MI.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. from the Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Don Spachman officiating. Interment will be in Salt River Cemetery, Shepherd MI. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
Zada U. Nestle was born Feb. 19, 1919 in Todd County, Minnesota to Alsa and Minnie Mae (Taylor) Hamblin. She married Pearl Nestle Nov. 27, 1927 in Mt. Pleasant MI. He preceded her in death in 1975.
She was a member of the VFW Ladies Aux. of Shepherd. She had attended the Westlawn Church of Christ and the Coe Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters, Esther (Maynard) Baldwin of St. Louis MI and Janet (Willard) Leiferman of Shepherd MI; three sons, James (Jan) Nestle of Gladwin, Richard Nestle of Shepherd MI, and Terry (Karen) Nestle of Ithaca MI; 17 grandchildren; 21 MI-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pearl; a son, Karl; grandson, Greg Nestle; seven brothers, and five sisters.
