Gladys was born in Minnesota in 1911, the 9th child of Asa & Minnie M. (Taylor) Hamblin.

She married Owen G. McWeeny, son of Thomas & Mary (__) McWeeny, December 13, 1927, in Hyde Co.
They were parents of 7 children: Agnes, Elbert, Dorothy, Harold G., Betty, Rose Mary, & Adeline.

Owen died January 11, 1957. Gladys continued to make her home in Highmore. She died September 1987.

*Gladys is buried next to her father in Highmore City Cemetery. Her husband, Owen is buried in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Highmore in his parent's Block.
