Mr. Hollis was well known throughout Menard county and farmed for a numbe of years on a large tract of land four miles north of Petersburg.
He is survived by his widow, four sons, Clarence Hollis, of Atterberry; William Hollis, of Greenview; and Norman and Clement Hollis, of Petersburg; and three daughters, Mrs. Lyman Owen; and the Misses Nettie and Anna Hollis.
The remains were removed to the undertaking establishment of Kirlin & Egan, 411 East Adams street and were forwarded over the Chicago, Peoria & St. Louis railroad to Petersburg where the funeral services were held.
The funeral was held at the late residence, four miles north of Petersburg, and at the Concord church.
Burial was be in Concord cemetery.
