Funeral services for the late Mrs. R. G. Fanning were held yesterday afternoon at the Lewiston Christian church, with a very large gathering of sorrowing friends and relatives present.
Rev. C. C. Roberts preached a simple and impressive funeral sermon. Interment was made in the Clarkston cemetery, where a sister is buried.
The funeral bier was banked with beautiful floral offerings, a find tribute to a Christian woman who was beloved by all.
Pythian Sisters, War Mothers, and members of the Legion auxiliary were at the service to pay respects to their departed sister.
The Christian church choir sang "Abide With Me," and Miss Mona Quilliant and P. H. Quilliant sane, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere."
The pallbearers were three brothers, Edward, Elijah, and William Ground; and three uncles, Ira Ruart of Hay, Wash.; William Jones of Colton and John Jones of Clarkston.
