Grace Lorene Erickson, the daughter of William and Cora (Diebert) Turner, was born on August 18, 1918 on a farm between Olive Hill and Burr Oak, Kansas. She passed away on July 21, 2008 at the Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 89 years, 11 months and 3 days.

Grace attended elementary school at Olive Hill, then moved to Superior with her parents to attend high school and graduated with the class of 1936 from Superior High.

She was united in marriage to LeVern Erickson on April 10, 1940 in Belleville, Kansas and this union was blessed with 3 sons.

Grace attended the Nora Methodist Church and was a member of the Cadams Club. She loved to play the piano and during high school she played at the original movie theatre in Superior. She enjoyed crocheting, cross word puzzles and sharing time with her family and her grandchildren. Through the years she enjoyed her time spent traveling with LeVern and helping him around the farm.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband LeVern on May 22, 2004, two sisters, Fern Morris and Theta Hall and one grandson, Jon Erickson.

She is survived by her sons, Bill and wife Carlita of Superior, Nebraska, Robert and wife Betsy of Martell, Nebraska and David and wife Beth of Granville, Ohio. Seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Dorthea Fairbanks officiating. Music was "Amazing Grace" and "In The Garden", with Carol Shambaugh as soloist and Carlita Erickson as organist.

Pallbearers were Ron Erickson, Eric Erickson, Chris Erickson, J. T. Erickson, Brad Fish, and Tony Lipker.

Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska.

Megrue-Price Funeral Home of Superior, Nebraska was in charge of the arrangements.
