Cora Beatrice Turner, daughter of Corwin Bruce Deibert and Anna Belle Zike Deibert, was born on a farm near Mt. Ayer, Iowa, on December 3, 1885. Cora was one of 10 children. At the age of 16, Cora and her family moved in a covered wagon to Sheridan Co. KA, where they lived for three years, after which they moved to Sherman Co. KA.

Cora was married to William Walter Turner on Dec. 25, 1904, at Hoxie, KA. To this union three daughters were born: Theta, Ferne, and Grace.

The remaining 57 years of her life were spent in the Jewell Co. KA and Superior areas. Her husband, Will died March 23, 1958.

Cora was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Theta (Mrs. George Hall), one grandson, Joyce Eugene Morris, three brothers (Charles, Wayne & Julius) and one sister (Zelma).

Cora is survived by her two daughters: Mrs. Jay Morris (Dessie Ferne) and Mrs. LeVern Erickson (Grace) both of Superior; four sisters: Laura Mitchell of Topeka, Kan. Alpha Hines of Yuma, Colo.; Lena Morgan of Hoxie, Kan., Edna Corey of McCook, Nebr.; and a brother, Frank Deibert of Cawker City, Kan.

Also surviving are three grandsons: Bill, Bob and Dave Erickson; five great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

Cora Turner died in Superior, Neb. on June 25, 1972, at the age of 86 years, 5 months and 26 days.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home with the Rev. Ted Dodd officiating Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
