Capt. Ebenezer Bancroft, of Lynn and Lynnfield, Massachusetts. the son of Thomas and Elizabeth (Metcalf) Bancroft, born in Reading, Middlesex, Massachusetts 26 April 1667.
He married 19 May 1692 Abigail Eaton, she was born ca. 1676, died March 24, 1716.
He was a weaver and husbandman, and he lived in Lynn, Essex, Massachusetts. He owned a grist mill on Bates Brook, which he purchased in 1713. He inherited the family homestead from his father, (Thomas 1), but sold it and removed to Lynnfield, Essex, Massachusetts.
He was the tenth man who commanded the Reading Infantry Company.
