Ruth lived her early years in Raywick KY, there father died before Ruth was grown and the remaining children moved with their mother to Louisville KY. Her older brother Tom never married and helped their mother raise the remaining children. Ruth was the mother of 11 children and always seemed to have enough love for one more. Ruth delivered all her children at home with the exception of Margaret. Margaret was born in a hospital because Ruth was ill at the time. She was a mother to all who came her way. A very devoted Catholic women, she always encouraged everyone to attend mass.
