Following the announcement of the serious illness of Hobart Beers from mastoid-meningitis, Monday evening came the sad news of his death at Good Samaritan hospital where he had been for two weeks. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Gresham Methodist Episcopal church, with burial in Gresham cemetery besides his father, William Beers, who passed away two years ago. Arrangements are in the hands of the Jacobson company of Lents.
The deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. Leona Beers, two children Elmer and Lionel in California, a stepdaughter Audrey, his mother Mrs. Annie Beers, three sisters, Mrs. A. F. Hoover and Mrs. Gus Donley of Gresham and Mrs. Bessie Dixon of Portland, and three brothers George Beers of Portland, Henry Beers of Estacada, amd McKinley of Gresham. He leaves many other relatives and friends.
Mr. Beers, who was 30 years of age, lived in Gresham the greater part of his life.
