Mrs. Etta J. Hoover passed away at her home in Gresham Thursday following a brief illness. Mrs. Hoover was born in Valley Falls, Kan., May 2, 1882, and came to this locality after with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. William Beers, who were pioneers here. She was married to Asa F. Hoover, February 14, 1914, in Vancouver, Wash. She was a member of Gresham Rebekah Lodge No. 61. Funeral services were held Monday in the chapel of Jacobson's Funeral home here. Rev. J. L. Magoon officiated and a quartet consisting of Mrs. J. L. Magoon, Mrs. E. W. Aylsworth, C. E. Rusher and Leslie Walrad sang, accompanied by Miss Florence Rusher. The pallbearers were Harold Kitchen Sr., Ray Mickey, Ray J. Baker, Harry King, Chester Slater and Andrew Johnson. Interment was made in the Forest Lawn cemetery.
