Funeral for Joe A. Hargrove, 88, Athens Rt. 3, were Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Fairview Baptist Church. The Rev. Ed Minor and the Rev. Russell Lance officiated. McConnell Funeral Home directed burial in the adjoining cemetery. Death came Sunday at 4:30 a.m. at the Athens Nursing Home.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Louise Harrison, Detroit, Texas; two sons, Allen and Paul Hargrove, both of Athens Rt. 3; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Meadowns, Athens; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
