He was born in Sulphur Springs, on June 7, 1933, the son of Earl and Leota Dickey Hooten. Mr. Hooten was a retired produce manager. Survivors include; daughter Cori Power, of Lewisville, Shannon Gammel, of Waco, and Leota Hooten, of Dallas, son Ernest Hooten, of McKinney; brother, William Byrd Hooten, of Sulphur Springs, Mattie Lee Hill, of Sulphur Springs. Arrangements are with Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
