PIONEER RESIDENT IS TAKEN BY DEATH
Mrs. Azelia Richotte Passes At Family Home. In Missoula 45 Years.
Mrs. Azelia Richotte, aged 71 years, pioneer resident of Missoula, died at her home, 444 Stephens avenue, early yesterday. She was born in Montreal, and came to Missoula 45 years ago, three years after her surviving brothers came to settle in the Frenchtown valley.
In 1886 she was married to Eli Richotte, who for many years was engaged in business in Missoula and Idaho. Mr. Richotte passed away in 1925.
Following the death of her husband, Mrs. Richotte continued to make her home at the family residence in Missoula. She had been in ill health for the past two months, and recently returned to her home from St. Patrick's hospital. She failed to survive a sinking spell which occurred Thursday afternoon.
Mrs. Richotte was a charter member of the Ladies of St. Anne society.
She is survived by four brothers, Romulus Deschamps, Philip Deschamps, Ishmael Deschamps and Antonio Deschamps, all old residents of the Frenchtown valley.
The funeral will be held at St. Anthony's church, although the date has not yet been set. The body was taken from the Marsh & Powell undertaking place last evening to the family home.
