According to the 1920 census (Catahoula) Roy's first name was "Judge". Roy's brother Jasper, my Great Grandfather, related to me that one day he and another person snuck up on Roy sitting on his horse in the family barn. The boys spooked the horse so bad that it bucked and slammed Roy's head into some beams, knocking him out cold. According to Grandad, "He was never the same after that." Roy died in the mental hospital in Pineville, LA.
