Mrs. Maud Martin, 81 of Mena, died Monday April 16, in Malvern. She was born September 8,1908 in Mena. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday April 18, at the Union Mission Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Nolan Morrison officating. Interment was in the Pinecrest Memorial Park under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Emmet McBee, Ronnie Johnson, Norman Goodman, Earl Haynie, George Ward, and George Gatliff.

She was the daughter of the late J.K. Wilcox and Miss Laura Lott and was united in marriage to Ed Martin. He preceded her in death on Feburary 19,1965. She was employed at the shirt factory in Mena and was a member of the Union Mission Church. She was a resident of the Mena area most of her life.

Survivors are four sons, Barney Martin, Portland,OR, James Martin, Mena, Jerry Martin, Mena, John Martin, Idabel,OK; one daughter Bonnie Gatliff, Malvern; one brother, Hansel Wilcox, Oklahoma; one sister, Ree Dixon, Texas one step-sister, Edna Mays, Mena., 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
