William Joseph "Will" Allen was the 5th child of twelve children born to James Marcus Lafayette Allen and Anna Mariah Watson. He was a self-taught Bible scholar who enjoyed discussing the Bible with the ministers who preached in Prairie Hill. Grandson, Walter Carrol Williams, son of daughter--Eula Vivian, is proud to have in his possession Grandpa Will's Bible which was given to him by members of the church.

Mr. Will was the dad of four daughters--Eula Vivian, Nellie Ruth, Lillie Celeste, and Virginia Timmons and two sons--Joseph Marcus and James Terrell "Jim".

He is buried beside his youngest son, James Terrell "Jim" Allen.

After my great-grandmother's death Mr. Will was married in Oct 1929 to a local widow, Mrs. Ida Baugh Jones. She had several children. She passed away in 1945 and is buried in Mart Cemetery, Mart, McLennan, TX.
