Lucile P. Brown 1920 ~ 2008 Lucile Marie Pixton Abrams Brown, 88, peacefully passed away on July 18, 2008 in Sandy, Utah.She was born on July 4, 1920 in Logan, Utah to Robert Leroy Pixton and Emma Schmidt Pixton. Lucile married Milton Charles Abrams in 1942. During that marriage, her three children were born. She married Melverton Lamar Brown in 1973. Lucile graduated from Jordan High School and Utah State University. She taught school at Crescent Elementary and Sandy Elementary. She was very dedicated and committed to education. She was passionate about nature, always marveling at God's creations. She loved spending time with her family and nurtured other family members in addition to her children. She was a Yankee Doodle Dandy, a real live niece of her Uncle Sam, born on the fourth of July. Lucile was an active member of the LDS Church and always faithful in her church responsibilities. After retirement, she worked at the Jordan River Temple. Survived by her children, Douglas (Kathleen) Abrams, Kathleen (David, deceased) Ewell, Sharon (Jack) Jenks; seven siblings; 15 grand-children; 25 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melverton Brown; three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wed, July 23, 2008 at the Mount Jordan 2nd Ward, 9331 S. 300 E., Sandy, Utah.
