MONA HALL

IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Mona Ivene Allred Hall, 87, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 5, 2008, at her son's home of natural causes. She was under the care of her family and Aspen Home Health & Hospice.

Mona was born May 30, 1920, in Preston, Idaho, to William Edsil Allred and Lulu Beckstead Allred. She grew up and attended schools in Preston and Blackfoot.

She married John Henry "Jack" Hall May 7, 1939, in Blackfoot, Idaho. They made their home in Idaho Falls, where Mona was a homemaker and mother and also worked as a seamstress for many years. Jack passed away July 17, 1999.

Mona was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Den Mother and in the Primary and Young Women's organizations. She was a member of the Elks Lodge DOES. She enjoyed arts and crafts, poetry, dancing, and bowling. Purple was Mona's passion, and she loved collecting teddy bears. Her love for her children and grandchildren was tremendous.

Son: J. Doug (Jolene) Hall of Idaho Falls, ID
Daughter: Lorrie J. (Randy) Fife of St. George, UT
Brother: Bill Allred of Salem, OR
Sister-In-Law: Ora A. Harman of Idaho Falls, ID
18 Grandchildren & 28 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Dow and Vernon, and six sisters, Glenna, Gretta, Larue, Leah, Irene, and Vera.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2008, at the Idaho Falls LDS Home Ranch Ward, 3195 South Holmes Avenue, with Bishop Terry Orme officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.

Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
