The Clay County, Tenn., native was born Nov. 11, 1922. She was a fifth-grade school teacher and retired after 44 years. She was also a Church of Christ member. She was a daughter of the late Ernest Bartlett and Ganel Murray Bartlett and the wife of the late Everett Stokes Bowman, whom she married on June 9, 1945. She was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Conner Veach; and a sister, Velma Marie Bartlett.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Lee Veach and Pamelia Lynn Rich, both of Bowling Green; and a grandson, Jason Paul Veach.
Burial was in Poplar Log-Bowman Cemetery.
