Frank Corbin Brown

Frank Corbin Brown, 60, Carmi, Ill., died at 4:08 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 1994, in Carmi.

He was born May 11, 1933, in Merom to Clyde and Cleo Corbin Brown. He was a retired minister of the First Christian Church of Carmi and was a minister and evangelist in several states. He was formerly a member of The Times Writers Group, wrote articles for church publications and wrote for The Carmi Times. He was president of the Carmi Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis Club of Carmi.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Lou Ford Brown; three sons, Mark Brown and Kevin Brown, both of Carmi, and Todd Brown, Waynesboro, Va.; two daughters, Vanessa Easterday, Lebanon, and Lori Ann Kuykendall, Carmi; two brothers, Bill Brown and Bob Brown; two sisters, Betty Brown and Jo Ann Jett; and ten grandchildren.

Memorial services are at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church with Robby King officiating. Funeral services are at 3 p.m. EST Thursday at the Sullivan First Christian Church with John Pierce officiating. Burial is in Johnson Cemetery, Graysville. Friends may call from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Sullivan church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Frank C. Brown Memorial Scholarship Fund, Johnson Bible College, Knoxville, Tenn. 37948.

Frank C. Brown, Carmi, Illinois, passed away March 29, 1994. He was the retired pastor of Carmi First Christian Church and noted minister and evangelist in several states. He was a former writer for The Sullivan Daily Times.

He was born May 11, 1933, to Clyde and Cleo Corbin Brown. He was a graduate of Sullivan High School in 1951 and Johnson Bible College in 1955.

He pastored churches in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Betty Ford Brown, five children and 10 grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters and two brothers.

Memorial services will be held at the Sullivan First Christian Church at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 31. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at Johnson Cemetery in Graysville. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Frank C. Brown Memorial Scholarship Fund, Johnson Bible College, Knoxville, TN 37948.
