Sweetwater - Lillie Geneva Cardwell, 77, of Sweetwater, died at 1:05 a.m. Friday at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in McCoy Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Sweetwater with the Rev. F. E. Healer officiating. Burial will be in Longworth Cemetery in Longworth.

Born Dec. 29, 1903 in Melburne, Ark., she was a retired nurse. She married Silas Laverne Cardwell on Feb. 2, 1924 in Longworth. A resident of Nolan and Fisher Counties since 1915, she was a Methodist.

Mr. Cardwell died in August 1973. Mrs. Cardwell was preceded in death by a son, two sisters and a brother.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Betty Baker of Sweetwater; a son, William Edward of Sandusky, Ohio; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
