OBITUARY
Mary Peyton Randolph was born in Breckenridge County, Kentucky, April 3, 1850, and departed this life at the home of her daughter, in Jet, Oklahoma, March 1, 1934, age 83 years, 10 months and 27 days.
In 1871, she was married to Dr. Ben Harned, who preceded her in death four years ago. To this union were born ten children, one of whom preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her loss, two daughters: Mrs. S. W. Tucker, Jet, Oklahoma, and Mrs. M. L. Miller, Amarillo, Texas; seven sons: Dr. Clarence O., Sasakwa, Oklahoma; Pomeroy, Talihina, Oklahoma; Chester A., Pocasset, Oklahoma; John Randolph, Chicago, Illinois; Grover C., Ashland, Kentucky; Oscar, Talihina, Oklahoma; and Mark L. Harned, Haddedfield, New Jersey; two sisters: Mrs. L. R. Comer, and Mrs. G. H. Hagen, both of Louisville, Kentucky; twenty-two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
At an early age Mrs. Harned became affiliated with the Presbyterian church and was an active member until she became infirm. She, with her family, came to this part of Oklahoma in 1898, and has been associated with this community for many years, where she leaves a host to mourn her going.
