Mary was the daughter of John Turman and Mary Jane Holbert Randolph and the wife of Benjamin Harned. She is my great-grandmother.

In 1871, she was married to Dr. Ben Harned, who preceded her in death four years ago. To this union were born ten children, one of whom preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her loss, two daughters: Mrs. S. W. Tucker, Jet, Oklahoma, and Mrs. M. L.
