COLORADO ACCIDENT

Special to the Gazette:
Cottonwood Falls, Feb. 13.--Mrs. Nettie Sidener, young Chase county woman, died Monday morning at a hospital in Las Animas, Colo., as the result of injuries she suffered in a motorcar accident eight miles west of that city during a snowstorm Saturday morning.

Mrs. Sidener was the wife of Edward P. Sidener. The Sideners lived at Vineland, Colo. The Sideners and their 6-year-old daughter, Jean, were motoring to Las Animas when their car collided with a truck driven by Russell Hunt of Rocky Ford. All three members of the Sidener family were injured. Sidener is reported to have suffered a broken leg and arm and a fractured skull. The little girl is not expected to live.

Mr. and Mrs. Crosby Merritt, of this county, who are the parents of Mrs. Sidener went to Colorado Saturday, arriving at the bedside of their daughter just before her death. Mr. Sidener regained consciousness today.

The Sidener family lived here before going to Colorado seven years ago. Mr. Sidener is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sidener who live in the Wonsevu vicinity in the southwest part of this county.
