WIBAUX - Funeral services for Mernie A. Cowee, 76, were held from the Wibaux United Methodist Church. The Rev. John Schnackenberg officiated. Burial was in the Wibaux Cemetery.
Mr. Cowee died at the Beach Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born Jan. 3, 1897, at LaFarge, Wis. He came to Wibaux when a young man. He married Esther Woodard, who died in 1929. In 1940 he married Viola Beeler in Wibaux.
Survivors include his widow, six daughters, four sons, two sisters, and one brother.
