Randy Mark Emmons, age 50, passed away at 7:45 a.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2006, at Kenneth Hall Regional Hospital in East St. Louis, IL.

He was born in Alton, IL, on December 14, 1956, son of Howard Samuel and June Eileen (Conklin) Emmons.

He married Paula C. Schaaf on June 29, 2001, in Wood River, IL. She survives.

He served in the U.S. Army for 14 years from 1977 - 1991. He worked at Jefferson Barracks Hospital in the computer department as a database administrator for 16 years. He was a member of the 1st Baptist Chruch of Dupo. He loved to fish, and every spring he would go to Bennett Springs, MO with his high school friends fishing. He played the piano, loved music and reading and, most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Andrea M. and Konrad Schaaf of Jerseyville, a stepson, Robert L Broyles of West Plains, MO, three grandchildren, Eric, DJ, and Kayla, all of Jerseyville, one sister, Ruth E. Beck of Cottage Hills, one brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Brenda Emmons of Alton, and several nieces, ephews, and good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, December 23, 2006 at the 1st Baptist Church of Dupo in Depo, IL. Officiating will be Pastor Rick Lay. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks Cemetery, St. Louis, MO. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
