She was born Dec. 27, 1915, the daughter of Arthur and Minnie May (Cox) Johnson at Galena, Kan. They moved to Oklahoma, and she graduated from high school there, after which she attended a nursing training school.
Susan moved to California and on Feb. 14, 1952, she married Ray Urutia at Reno, Nev. They moved to Brewster where they have since resided for the past 41 years.
She is survived by her husband, Ray, at the home; children, Evelyn Joyce Beaver of Riverton, Kan., Everett Labor and Ike Labor, both of Little Rock, Ark., and Rayma Astrum of Cobb, California; stepdaughter, Missy Ruiz of Alpine, Texas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of Barnes Chapel, Brewster.
