He was the son of Sadie Grantham Elmore and the late James Benson Elmore. He attended the University of South Carolina and also served in the National Guard for 9 years. He retired as a general mechanic from DuPont after 36 years.
Mr. Elmore enjoyed fishing, hunting, NASCAR racing, and yard work. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.
