B. N. Phillips, 84 years old, well-known resident of Callaway county passed away Thursday of last week at the home of his son, Alfred Phillips, west of New Bloomfield, where he had made his home for the past six months. Mr. Phillips had been in bad health for several years and for the last three months was bedfast.
Funeral services were held at the church west of town, and burial was in the old Prospect cemetery there.
Mr. Phillips was born in Kentucky and was married there at Covington, to the former Miss Mary Daniels, after which the young couple moved to Callaway county, Mo., to make their home. Mrs. Phillips preceded her husband in death about six months ago. The following children survive: Mrs. Maud Betz of Okla., Mrs. D. M. Hudson, Stephens, Mo., Mrs. J. A. Bowers and Mrs. Mary McLaughlin, Kansas City; Mrs. Roger Rice, Fulton, Mrs. Joe Sweeten, Guthrie, Alfred Phillips, New Bloomfield. He also leaves a host of friends to mourn his passing.

B. N. Phillips died at the age of 84 years at his home on Cedar Creek Thursday after a lingering illness. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Lloyd Sapp, of Ashland, at Hopewell church Saturday afternoon. Interment was at the Prospect Cemetery. Seven children survive.
