CULVER - Claribel K. Quivey, 93, of 730 School Street, Culver, Indiana, and formerly of 17668 S. Pear Road, Culver, Indiana, passed away at 7:28 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2008, in Miller's Merry Manor. Claribel was born on June 24, 1914, in North Judson, Indiana, to the late Charles and Dessie (Warren) Scott. She had lived all of her life in the Culver Community. On June 24, 1933, in Culver, Indiana, at the Evangelical United Brethren Church, she married Ronald C. Quivey, who preceded her in death on July 18, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother and a daughter, Kathryn Quivey. Claribel is survived by her daughter, Alice (Darwin) Hartman of Plymouth; four grandchildren, Kathryn Middaugh of Plymouth, David (Becky) Hartman of Plymouth, Nancy (Bob) Suseland of Plymouth and Jim Hartman of Plymouth; six grandchildren, Matthew and Julie Middaugh, Elizabeth and Rachel Hartman, Robert and Andrew Suseland, all of Plymouth. Claribel was a homemaker and a member of the Poplar Grove United Methodist Church of Culver, United Methodist Women, Rutland Circle, Marshall County Extension Homemakers Club and Whippoorwill Ladies Aid. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, in the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, IN, where visitation will be held two hours prior to services. The Rev. Henry Sprunger of the Poplar Grove United Methodist Church will be officiating. Burial will be at Maxinkukee I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Poplar Grove, Culver, Indiana. Memorials may be made to Poplar Grove United Methodist Church. Electronic condolences may be sent to the family at [email protected].
