"Death of Robert B. Grant, Sr."
This old citizen of Jackson County died last Sunday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. R. S. Renfroe, in Moss Point, after an illness of two weeks, his death being caused by heart trouble. The funeral was held on Monday from the home of his daughter. Rev. J. F. Brock officiating, assisted by Revs. J. L. Carter, A. B. Meeks, and M. E. Hulbert with interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Pascagoula.

Mr. Grant was 82 years of age, was born in Pascagoula, and had lived in the county all his life. His wife died twenty three years ago. He is survived by two brothers, Messrs. John Grant of Pascagoula and E. F.Grant of Birmingham, also six children, as follows: Mrs. R. S. Renfroe and Mrs. John Hill of Moss Point, Mrs. Dan Haisten of Birmingham, Robert Grant of Gulfport, W. J. Grant, Sr. of Biloxi, and L. B. Grant of Picayune, besides a number of grandchildren and other relatives.
Thus the county loses one of its oldest citizens, a good Christian man, who will be missed by many friends and relatives, but who has gone to his eternal reward after a well-spent life.
