Mrs. Laura Letcher passed away on Wednesday evening. She married J.D. Letcher on 28 December 1881. Seven children came to this home, four sons and two daughters, all married, survive. Sister Letcher united with the Methodist Church at the age of 15. She loved to attend church, and was busy Sunday morning preparing to attend the Children's Day Service, at the Presbyterian Church, and have some of her children take dinner ith her when her illness began to develop. The Methodist minister having been called away from home, the writer was called to conduct the funeral service, which was held in the Methodist Church.
