Funeral services for Julia Nadine Loden, 85, of Athens are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2007, in the chapel of the Cooper Funeral Home with Erick Graham officiating.

Private burial will be in the Ash Cemetery. She passed away Thursday, April 5, 2007, in Athens.

Mrs. Loden was born in Henderson County to her parents, Labon and Jessie Gartman Freutress.

She was a lifelong resident of Henderson County who married Lester Loden Jr. on February 8, 1943.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Sand Springs Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Loden enjoyed poetry and music and was recognized with her talents being published.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Dale Loden; brother, R.D. Frentress; and sisters ,Maggie B. Dingler and Flora Mae Hosch.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Doyle and Joyce Loden of Athens, Dean and Judy Loden of Athens, Clovis and Linda Loden of Athens and Gerald and Teresa Loden of Athens; daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Mike Pierce of Canton; bother and sisters-in-law, Clinton and Vivian Frentress of Athens and Francis Loden of Athens; sisters and brother-in-law, Jessie Hagood of Kaufman, Esther Washington of Athens and Maudie and Buddy McFarland of Houston; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers include James Loden, Toby Loden, Dale Loden Jr., Shane Loden, Billy Graham and Daniel Giles.

The Loden family will receive condolences at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
