Mr. Thompson was born September 14, 1919 in Kingstree, S.C., the son of Oscar L. Thompson, Sr. and Mattie Hair Thompson.
Mr. Thompson was U.S. Army Air Corp. World War II Veteran. He was with Falcons 498 Bombardment Squadron U.S. Army Air Corp in the Pacific.
He is survived by one daughter, Sandy Siegling, devoted sister, Celeste McDermott, a devoted nephew, Al Thompson, and several other loving nephews and nieces, all of Charleston, S.C.; one son, Harry Austin Thompson, Jr. from Austin, TX.; three granddaughters and three great grandsons.
