Archie Hill Mitchem was a twin of Harvey Will Mitchem, sons of Luther Columbus Mitchem and Gabrella Flowers Mitchem of Gaston County, NC. He was married to the former Margaret Logan Arrowood (7/13/1890 - 12/19/1981). He was an insurance agent. They had five children:
