Maxine was the first born child of Raymond Stone and Frances Edmonia Keene Stone. She was born November 18, 1921 in Boone County Missouri. Her full name is Ruby Maxine. On July 20, 1944 Maxine married William (Bill) Frank Tanner.

Ruby Maxine Tanner 71, of San Antonio died Thursday, November 26, 1992 in San Antonio.
Services were held Monday, November 20, in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with the Rev. W.J. Buck officiating.
Mrs. Tanner was born November 18, 1921, to Raymond Stone and Edmonia Keene Stone. She graduated from Shirrell High School in Oneida, N.Y. On July 20, 1944, she married Bill Tanner, and he survives. She was president of many Air Force Officer's Wives Clubs and manager of the San Antonio Gun Club.
Surviving along with her husband are three sons, Gary Tanner of San Antonio, Lonnie Tanner of Colorado Springs, Colo., and William Tanner of Austin, Texas; a brother, Kenneth Stone of Sarasota, Florida; and two sisters, Colleen Acton and CeCe Benton, both of Columbia.
She was preceded in death by one brother.
