Helen Josephine Kailing, a maternal aunt, was the fifth of twelve children born to Philip and Johanna Kailing on July 3, 1906, in Reed City, Michigan.

Helen married Claud Lyle Page on October 31, 1925. They had six children, three boys and three girls.
