Beulah was the daughter of John and Beulah Allmond and the wife of Wellington Grubb, a Brandywine Hundred farmer who also owned property in Wilmington. The couple had eight children, of whom only two reached adulthood. They moved to Wilmington by 1850, where he was listed as a grocer. They were the parents of Judge Ignatius C. Grubb.
