MURRAY, Ky. — Lalla F. Boyd, Murray, 101, died at 8:50 a.m. Friday, March 17, 2000, at West View Nursing Home.
Services were Sunday afternoon at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jim Simmons officiating. Burial was in Boyd Cemetery in Trigg County.
A native of Trigg County, she was born Oct. 14, 1898, the daughter of the late Dillard and Metoka Cunningham Leneave.
She was retired from food services at Murray State University. She was the oldest member of the Memorial Baptist Church where she was active in the Womens' Missionary Union. She was a member of the Calloway Senior Citizens. Her husband, Henry Boyd, died in 1972.
Survivors include a son, William D. Boyd, Cadiz; a daughter, Mrs. Mason (Wilma) Billington, Murray; a sister, Mrs. J.B. (Nell C.) Young, Hopkinsville; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
