Charles Moises Gallegos "Together Again"

Charlie passed away early Friday morning, November 9, 2001, at home of cancer. He was surrounded by his family.

Born Sept 4, 1928 in Antonito, CO son of Ontoniel and Elivira M. (Velasquez) Gallegos. Attended high school in Silverton, CO. He graduated from American High School.

Married Tiva Quintana April 15, 1946 in Aztec, NM. They were later married in the Catholic Church in Bingham Canyon, UT.

Dad worked for the U.S. Mine in Lark, UT for 21 years when it shut down. He also worked for Unit Rig for eight years and Kennecott for 11 years at which time he retired. After he retired, he worked for Ballard Medical for about four years. Charlie also helped his wife, Tiva, run the boarding house in Lark for many years.

Charlie is survived by one daughter and five sons, Charlie (Teresa), Brownsmills, NJ, Gerri (Ted) Unsworth, Taylorsville, Sammy (Marie), West Jordan, Danny (Kim), Copperton, Robert (Alma), Copperton, Julian (Francine), Midvale; sisters, Betty Velasquez, Alamosa, CO, Diane (Gary) McDonald, Sanders, AZ; brothers, Gilbert (Julia) Gallegos, Antonito, CO, Isaac (Mary) Gallegos, Antonito, CO, Robert Gallegos, Riverside, CA; 30 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, numerous cousins, and friends. Mom preceded dad in death just 19 days ago. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and one brother.

The family would like to thank Care Source and their staff for the wonderful care that Dad received from them. We would like to give a very special "Thank You" to dad's nurse, Rhonda Craig, for all her help and support. She was a godsend to us.

A funeral mass will be Tues. Nov 13, 2001, 10 a.m., Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Copperton, UT. Friends may call Mon. Nov 12, 2001 McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Rd 6-8 p.m. and Tues. one hour prior to mass in Copperton. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
