Mrs. Sarah Pinkerton Kennedy, widow of John Kennedy, died yesterday afternoon at 2:10 at the home of her brother, William J. Pinkerton, 32 Canton street. She had been in failing health for the past year. Two weeks ago her condition became serious and for several days preceding her death she was in an unconscious condition. She was born in the town of Oswegatchie, about three miles from Heuvelton and had passed her entire life in this town. Her husband died six years ago and she is survived by three brothers, William and James of Ogdensburg and John Pinkerton of Oswego. She was a member of St. Mary's parish and of the Sacred Heart and Rosary societies. The funeral services will be held at St. Mary's cathedral tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock and burial will be made in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Mrs. Kennedy was a well known and highly esteemed resident of the city and her demise will be a source of deep regret to many friends throughout the community.
