Mary Edith Lippincott, 89, of Monroe City and formerly of Hunnewell, passed away Friday, Aug. 19, 2005, at Hannibal Regional Hospital. Mrs. Lippincott was born Sept. 8, 1915, in Stoutsville to Earl and Eva Agnes Gatson. She was married to Eldon Dallas Reyes on July 8, 1933. He preceded her in death April 24, 1975.
Survivors include one son, Marion Lippincott of Santa Ana, Calif.; one daughter, Roseanna B. Reyes of Hunnewell; two sisters, Mrs. Fern Swann of St. Charles and Mrs. Francis Williams of St. Peters; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Mike Gatson and Merlyn and Melvin Lippincott; one daughter, Virginia Marshall; two brothers, John and James E. Gatson; two sisters, Dorothy Caroll and Rose Ezell; three grandsons, Merlin Lippincott Jr., Charles M. Gatson II and Mark C. Gatson; and one granddaughter, Jacklyn Reyes.
