The funeral service of J. B. Platt, who died Tuesday, took place at 11 o'clock from the residence of his father, C. D. Platt on Grant Street, conducted by Elder Ragland. There were a large number of relatives and friends of the family present. A brother of the deceased arrived from Iowa just in time for the funeral. Mr. J. B. Platt has resided in this city a number of years, and has been connected with his father in the plow factory. He leaves a wife and three children as well as a host of friends to mourn his loss.
